Erick Thohir Angkat Maya Watono Jadi Dirut InJourney – Anom Suryaputra Media

In a recent development, Erick Thohir, the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises, has officially appointed Maya Watono as the CEO of PT Aviasi Pariwisata Indonesia (Persero), also known as InJourney, a state-owned company specializing in aviation and tourism.

This decision was made during a Shareholders’ Meeting on Thursday, November 21, 2024. Maya Watono’s appointment as the CEO of InJourney was formalized through Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Decree Number SK-282/MBU/11/2024.

Maya Watono takes over the role from Dony Oskaria, who was recently appointed by President Prabowo Subianto as the Deputy Minister of State-Owned Enterprises for the 2024-2029 period.

Prior to her appointment as CEO, Maya Watono served as the Director of Marketing and Tourism Programs at InJourney since January 14, 2022. On October 21, 2024, she was appointed as the Acting CEO.

With this new leadership role, Maya Watono becomes one of the youngest female CEOs to lead a state-owned company. The company is committed to continuing its transformation under her leadership to advance the tourism and aviation sectors in Indonesia.
